December Crafting!

Just a little update on YayStudio, we officially move into our space next week! the ceiling has been insulated and the space will be all ours come monday! which of course means it's crafts time again! Next Saturday, the 11th we will be having our December crafts event! 

As I'm sure you all know December 11th is National Noodle Ring Day so to celebrate we will be making holiday ornaments and greeting cards. 

Unfortunately we will have missed Hanukkah this year, as it ends on the 9th, but Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years and National "Hi Neighbor" Month are still up for grabs! 

It's $10 a crafter and we will be there from 3-5pm,

So come out and make Grandma a Festive Boxing Day card, or a Read-A-New-Book Month ornament!

Yay Paper Making Workshop!

On November 20th we will be hosting a paper making workshop at the studio. This will be a little more structured than our last event as we will be doing a demonstration and short introduction to paper making and its history followed by the actual making of paper! which can get messy. We will be learning about different paper making techniques as well as paper forming and creating our own pulp paintings. Everyone will get to make at least 2 or 3 sheets of paper which you can take home and keep or give away or turn into festive holiday cards or really do whatever you want with.

The workshop is from 2-4pm, open to everyone and it's only $10, so come out and have fun! 

Halloween of Awesome!

Our First event at the new studio! so exciting and so exhausting. but all in all a success! pumpkins were painted and masks were made and glitter covered every surface. and what is crafting all about if not the generous application of glitter?
